Dr Ramani did her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at McGill University and completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging at l'Universite de Montreal. Her areas of interests include ultrasound, CT, CT colonsocopy and MRI. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Radiologists and l'Association de Radiologistes de Quebec, as well as being a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada.  She has lectured for the McGill Medical Refresher Course for Family Physicians (2014, 2015) on the Rational Use of CT in Medical Imaging, Choosing The Appropriate Imaging Test, and Commonly Missed Fractures.She serves on several hospital committees and is a Board member of the Fondation de l'Hopital de LaSalle. She is currently the chief of Diagnostic Imaging at LaSalle General Hospital.

Past research projects include a Comparison of Virtual Colonscopy with Optical Colonoscopy in a Community Hospital Setting (First Prize Poster, Falk Society 2012) and MR imaging for Fracture Assessment in the Elderly. Curent research interests include the role of MR in Prostatic Artery Embolization for BPH and Post Therapy MR Evaluation in Alzheimer's Disease. She was the program director for the CME course Radiology in a Community Hospital Setting (May 2014 and October 2017) and has given numerous presentations on all aspects of radiology.
