Overview

The most common benign gynecological diseases are uterine fibroids, abnormal bleeding and endometriosis. Evolving understanding and increasing medical managment of these common conditions requires a good understanding of the old and new drugs available to treat these disorders.

Objectives

As a result of attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • Have a broad understanding of the trajectory of managment of endometriosis and the appropriate indications for referral for surgery.
  • Medically manage patients with uterine fibroids with confidence and refer approrpiate cases for interventions and surgery.
  • Provide basic investigation and care for patients with both chronic and acute abnormal uterine bleeding.
