2017 brings a new world to diabetes we have newer monitoring devices that will change the world of our patients with diabetes. the freestyle libre is here and  it a revolutionary glucose meter where patients will be able to see their sugar every minute and have a better understanding of their own personal diabetes; Newer glucose sensors such as the medtronic and the dexcom g5 has changed the lives of our patients with diabetes with or without pump; we will discuss in a case based presentation the implications of this new technology and how ti will benefit your patients;




As a result of attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the current technological advances in diabetes
  • Present the freestyle libre; the innovative glucose monitor
  • Understand which patients to prescribe this new device
  • Understand the glucose sensors available dexcom g5 and medtronic and which patients may benefit
  • Understand how to interpet the thousand of glucose readings these new devices will be giving us
